Local Org. Encourages Residents to Observe Tabacco-Free Kids Day

Starr County Extension agent, Yolanda Morado, reports the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Working on Wellness Coalition cordially invite local residents to participate in the 2014 Texas Tobacco-Free Kids Day (TTFKD) which is scheduled to be observed on March 19.

This day marks an annual day of awareness that encourages people of all ages to live tobacco-free lifestyles. The goal of TTFKD is to get every school and community in Texas involved in the effort to make people in their school and community make healthy choices by not using tobacco products now, or ever.

Over the next two weeks, residents are encouraged to visit www.txsaywhat.com to not only get project ideas, but to register the project that local groups will participate in on Tobacco-Free Kids Day.
